New Site For Federal Spending


FedSpending.org
is a new site designed to track federal government spending from 2000 onward. The data is coming from Federal Procurement Data System ( federal contracts) and the Federal Assistance Award Data System ( federal grants, loans, insurance, social Security.

Here are the highlights:

*contracts are searchable by contractors, by locations and by contracting agencies.
*grants are searchable by grant recipient, by place of performance, and by granting agency.
