QuestionPoint Opens Its Blog

LibrarianinBlack finds out that QuestionPoint the famous provider of virtual reference services decided to open its blog to all librarians and the blogging community. Up to now the Questionpoint blog was pass-worded and available only for members.

According to a survey from the blog 70% of QuestionPoint users come from public or academic libraries and 21% are non-U.S. libraries. In general 70% use QuestionPoint as a chat service, 57% for e-mail and 21% for Q&A repository

I will be one of the frequent readers of the blog because Queens Public Library uses Questionpoint for virtual reference and I have to learn how to work with it. One of my responsibilities at Queens Library is also making the necessary recommendations on how to improve virtual reference services for our patrons.
