2007 Library Awards And RUSA’s Reference List

For the past few days ALA Press Releases blog posted so many library awards that it is hard for me to sum them up in short for Library Blog Buzz. If you are interested to see who is the best of the best in library services read the news section on ALA site. I usually try to read everything about library awards because very often they provide you with best practices examples in different areas of our profession.

The Reference and User Services Association (RUSA) also announced the list of 2007 recommended reference sources for small libraries. From my experience “Colonial America: An Encyclopedia of Social, Political, Cultural, and Economic History.” ed. James Ciment. M. E. Sharpe, 2005 is probably a handy one and I am also curious to look at "Encyclopedia of Swearing: The Social History of Oaths, Profanity, Foul Language, and Ethnic Slurs in the English-Speaking World.” Geoffrey Hughes. M. E. Sharpe, 2006 .
