300 Peer Reviewed Journals For Research Experiment At NYPL

The 4 research libraries (Business, Humanities and Social Science, Performing Arts, and the Schomburg Center) at New York Public Library were granted a license for online access to 300 highly specialized journals from Wiley, which up to now were only offered to corporate and academic libraries. One of the goals of the research experiment is to find out how peer reviewed journals (“ Journal of Field Robotics", "Advanced Engineering”) are used by patrons in a big city public library.

"This is Wiley’s first license for journal content with a major public library in North America. A full alphabetical list of the titles included in the pilot can be found at
http://www.nypl.org/research/sibl/docs/wileyjournals.pdf " More details at NYPL press release.
