The E-Content Blog posted about a new services called eBook Loans. The new e-lending model is a partnership between The National Research Council Canada Institute for Scientific and Technical Information (NRC-CISTI) and e book lender MyiLibrary.
According to the explanation each electronic book "loan costs $25, payable online using a credit card. Users are given access to an eBook for 30 days through a URL received in an email immediately after payment has been received" You dont have to return the ebook because the link expires automatically.
I am sure that sooner or later libraries will offer not only electronic loans of books, but also e-loans of book chapters and pages to customers.
