Google Moves YouTube In 9 countries

At their annual press conference in France Google announced that they will launch YouTube in 9 more countries. In Brazil, France, Ireland, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the UK users will be able to upload more local and country specific videos in their own language.

To bring more content to the site YouTube has also brokered contracts with more than 1,000 global partners, including more than 150 deals signed in Europe since March.

Some of the most famous deals were with France 24, Antena 3 in Spain, European football clubs such as AC Milan, Chelsea, Barcelona and Real Madrid, as well as organizations such as Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace.
