Create Instant Audio Files For Your Blog

Sarah Houghton-Jan from the always interesting Librarian in Black blog found Odiogo , new web 2.0 company that promises to transfer text into audio files.

The new service " enables newspapers, magazines, and blogs to automatically create audible versions of their content. The Odiogo produced sound files can be listened to on computers and mobile devices such as iPod, MP3 readers and cellular phones."

So if you wanted to move the content of your blog on iPods and MP3 readers without learnig podcasting, just sign up for the free service. Odiogo will display a "listen button" on the top of the article that you want to be read. Your files will be stored on Odiogo's servers, so you don’t have to worry about hard drive space.

Unfortunately for now Odiogo only works with WordPress, Blogger and TypePad blooging platforms and not with Opera, otherwise I was going to try it on Library Blog Buzz right away.
