3 Cool New Websites At Sites & Soundbytes Blog

Sites & Soundbytes is one of my favorite blogs for new websites. The blog is written by Tasha Saecker, who is the director of the Menasha Public Library in Wisconsin.

The first new website she recommends for finding a college near you is CampusExplorer. The site uses mashups to show you on a map near your zicode all 2 and 4 year programs in colleges and how much they cost.

23000 hostels in over 6400 cities is what Hostelz webpage is about. The site is searchable by city, country or hostel name. "Once you are looking at a specific hostel's entry, you will find you can book it online, get directions, read a description from the hostel itself, view the official Hostelz review, and also read multiple reviews from people who have stayed there. I double checked Hostelz and was impressed by the service since I was able to find a small hotel near a place in Switzerland, where I was on a trip last year.

The last site that caught my attention was ScienceHack which shows science videos prescreened by scientists. Currently the main categories for science videos are physics, chemistry, biology, space, green energy and mathematics.
