We are all worry free that nobody is going to call us on our cell phones because the number is not listed. This is about to change. Intelius, a Washington State based company is now ofering a new cell phone database.
Searching is free, but if you want to look up the phone number the price varies from $10 to $15. Because of privacy issues Intelius went out of the way to obtain cell phone numbers from public records, utility bills and change of address records.
It is obvious that in the Information Age our privacy is diminishing year after year. If Intelius succeeds I am sure other wireless careers will follow with their "services".
The Seattle Times published more detailed story about the new cell phone database.
