Kindle The New Amazon’s E-Book Reader Is Out

Last week Amazon.com announced its much anticipated e-book reader Kindle that Library Blog Buzz wrote about in September.

Although I like the Sony reader ($299)better ( for design reasons), I have to admit that the new device offers more features for a little more money and it is is much more efficient.

The big change with Kindle ($399) is in the wireless access offered through an agreement with mobile carrier Sprint and access to more than 90,000 downloadable e-books at a fixed $9.99 price for a new title.

The other features that I really like are its light weight, the storage capacity: 200 e-books, the free wireless access and ability to provide full-text " access to more than 300 blogs that can be updated continuously."

There was quite a buzz about Kindle among various websites, blogs and magazines: TechCrunch,, Newsweek, ZDNet, and a Amazon's press release.

From all the pictures provided, I liked the one from CrunchGear and you can see it below.
