If you are like me, burred with work for internal projects and not being able to make it to the Computers in Libraries 08 in Arlington Virginia, I am sure that you will find the posts of The Librarian in Black blog from the conference workshops very handy.
Sarah Houghton-Jan is able to quickly grasp the essence of each workshop she attends at Computers in Libraries and summarize it in a few words. Last night I got caught so much in her postings from the conference that I was not able to read any other blogs, that I usually check.
One of my favorite posts is "Computers in Libraries 2008: Widgets, Tools, & Doodads for Library Webmasters", which overviews some new technologies and services.
For example, the Firefox add ons like Safe Cache 09, that defends your PC cache cookies from hackers and Safe History, which protects your browser search history from intruders, I definitely plan to try and probably install on my computers. To find out more, you can read the post here.
