Proquest Revamps Website, Hoover Goes Mobile And LexisNexis Acquires IDEX

Databases are the bread and butter for many librarians, so keeping an eye on what is happening in the database world is always necessary.

In October Hoover’s rolled out two new products: a mobile browser called Hoover’s Mobile and a mobile client (Hoover's Mobile SP) for iPhones, Blackberries, and Windows Mobile smartphones. Yahoo Finance has the details.

The last vendor who stated changes was Lexis Nexis with the acquisition of IDEX, Inc, an expert witness database. The details of the deal are availabale from NewsBreaks.

The company maintains an authoritative, exclusive database of more than 1 million records on 200,000-plus experts, including expert profiles, testimonial histories, verdict awards, settlement amounts, authored content, expert depositions, and court testimony.
